These 5 Mental Disorders Associated with Genetic

Experts are often difficult to identify the causes of mental disorders owned patient. Now there are five known mental disorders associated with genetic conditions.

Researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston found 5 mental health disorders that have genetic roots. Specific genetic variants appear to overlap between some disorders.

Although only a small fraction of the thousands of genes involved in the disorder. Here are five mental disorders associated with genetic, as quoted by the Daily Mail

1. Autism

There is strong evidence that changes in genes contribute to the emergence of autism. Changes in the genetic causes of autism should not be inherited, but can also occur spontaneously.

The study found that children who have a genetic mutation on chromosome 17 are most likely to bear autism. Yet experts continue to find out what genes are involved.

2. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

Scientists find cause of ADHD is due to a genetic disorder. Overlap or overlap between segments of DNA is deleted or duplicated (duplicated), known as copy number variants (CNVs).

ADHD is more common in boys. Children with ADHD have excessive anxiety, impulsive, easily distracted, and often experience difficulties at home or school. These symptoms can be minimized through a combination of medication and behavior therapy.

3. Bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder can be caused by various factors, one of which is the gene. Based on the study of molecular biology, there are at least 37 genes are known to be responsible for bipolar disorder.

Besides the chaos in the brain can also trigger bipolar disorder. Therefore people with this disorder have mood volatile and difficult to understand.

4. Schizophrenia

Researchers already know genes play an important role in the condition of schizophrenia, because he is more likely to have a gene variation believed to be related to schizophrenia as the segments are missing or duplicated.

It contains millions of DNA variations, some are derived in many families, but many are owned individually. People with schizophrenia proved 14 times more likely to have a copy of the gene on chromosome 7 protein than the control group

5. Depression

Family history is known to increase the risk of depression. This is probably due to genes inherited from one generation to the next, even though the medical evidence is not clear.
